PROCYTE-HP capsule is a probiotic used to treat and prevent diarrhea (acute and chronic) associated with antibiotic use, infections and consumption of poisonous substances etc. It is prescribed for the treatment of bowel disorders such as indigestion, flatulence and irritable bowel syndrome, lactulose intolerance, bacterial imbalance in body, amoebic dysentery, urinary tract infections. Probiotics help in improving digestion, fighting against infections, boosting immunity, promoting weight loss and maintaining vaginal health hygiene. The capsule helps in restoring good bacteria or normal microbial flora in the intestine and is mostly prescribed along with an antibiotic as antibiotics are known to kill the good bacteria in the stomach, causing an imbalance of overall bacterial count. It also facilitates lactose digestion and has proven to be very effective in people with lactose intolerance. This medicine also treats enteric infection like salmonellosis in infants. Composition
The active ingredients of PROCYTE-HP capsule are Bifidobacterium- longum 15 Billion CFU, Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) 100 MG, Lactobacillus acidophilus 15 Billion CFU and Streptococcus thermophilus 15 Billion CF
Mechanism of Action of Drugs
PROCYTE-HP capsule contains probiotics that promotes proper digestion and help in maintaining the normal balance and pH balance of good bacteria in the intestine which aids in improving immunity, growth and multiplication of gut bacteria. It also inhibits the growth of bad bacteria and promotes growth of good bacteria, maintaining microbial flora in the intestine post-infection or the use of antibiotics.

Side and Adverse Effects
The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of Celprotik Forte capsule. When taken in the recommended dosage guidelines, the capsule is well tolerated. Most of the side effects are generally mild and you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

How to Use
Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your health care professional. Swallow the capsule whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the capsule.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose, if you do, take Celprotik Forte capsule as soon as remember, however if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the previous dose and take it according to your normal scheduled time.
Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested. Stopping the medication too early can allow the growth of the bacteria to begin, which can lead to an infection relapse.
This capsule can be taken with or without food. If significant stomach upset occurs, it can be taken with food. Take the medicine at least 2-3 hours before or after taking antibiotics. You may take the capsule with sweetened water, tea, milk or orange juice.

Overdosage
Avoid taking more than the recommended dosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the capsule, promptly seek medical attention. Depending on the dosage of Celprotik Forte capsule, symptoms vary in individuals, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

Bloating Gas Nausea and vomiting Serious allergic reactions Administer fluid and electrolyte replacement as required for extensive fluid loss due to diarrhea or vomiting.
Warnings and Precautions
Take Celprotik Forte capsule only on the advice of medical practitioner. Dosage adjustments or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:

Kidney:

Lactation:
The medicine is likely safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the medication does not pass through the breastmilk. Alcohol:

Driving:
This medicine does not cause drowsiness or dizziness. If you notice any abnormal reactions after taking the medicine, do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention or physical strength.

Food:
There are no known food interactions with this capsule.
